Perhaps you have seen the highways and backroads dotted with motorcycles, or maybe you have gotten your own bike out for a brisk spring ride. Whatever the case may be, you can't argue with the fact that motorcycle season is in full swing.
Being no strangers to fun, Perryville will be hosting their 2nd Annual Bikers on the Square on Saturday, June 21.
Due to the massive success of the premiere event last year, and thousands of bikes expected to convene on the square this year, the poker run has been moved to Friday night. Included in the events for the weekend are a poker run, vendors, a parade, burnout contest, blessing of the bikes, and a bike show and more Live music will play throughout the evening featuring Paragon and SuperJam. A burnout contest, 50/50 drawings, and attendance prizes will also be highlights of the event.
An exciting addition to the parade lineup this year is the Budweiser Clydesdale team. They will lead the bike parade through Perryville, giving all the opportunity to see the prominent team.
Prided in paying tribute to the veterans, and specifically those of the Vietnam era, the event is being held in conjunction with The Wall That Heals visiting Perryville. The Wall, a replica Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall, travels across the country bringing awareness and paying respect to the veterans of the lost war era. The wall will be in Perryville until Sunday. Also tribute to the veterans will be a cannon salute on Saturday afternoon. Finally, on display will be the Wounded Warrior bike, paying respect to those lost or injured in battle.
You can find all of the additional details including the event times at the Bikers on the Square Facebook page.
