Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. The weather is cool, the trees are beautiful, and there are so many fun activities to do. One of my family traditions is to make a Bucket List of activities that we would like to do for fall. Our list includes things like go to a pumpkin patch, eat caramel apples, go on a hayride, and go on a nature walk. Recently, we were able to mark several of those activities off our list by going to just one place-Beggs Family Farm in Blodgett, MO.
Beggs Family Farm is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful fall weather with your family. They have so many things to do!! My family of five had so much fun and spent a couple hours at the farm but you could easily spend four or five hours there. We took a few family pictures in the HUGE rocking chair by the front entrance. There are several spots throughout the farm that lend themselves to great family pictures. We went into the rope maze. My lil guys loved running around the maze and racing each other to the middle to ring the bell. There was also another maze that was made with mesh fencing that had slides, ramps, and gigantic tractor tires to crawl through. This maze was a little more difficult for the boys but they still had a great time. One of the things that all three of my boys loved the most was the huge slide. The two oldest boys, Russ and Levi, kept running back up the stairs to go down the slide again and the baby, Owen, was amazed at being so high up in the air. Even my fiancé and my friend both loved the slide!
There were several different animals scattered through out the farm, including chickens, bees, goats, llamas, and even a camel. Camel rides were available for an additional fee. The highlight of the trip was riding the trailer to the pumpkin patch. It is a short ride through corn fields and the boys loved it. Once we got to the pumpkin patch, there were pumpkins everywhere in all sizes from tiny, cute pumpkins perfect for decorating to big, round pumpkins for carving. There is something about being able to go into the patch and choose your very own pumpkin that makes the pumpkin a little more special. Our boys were very particular in choosing their perfect pumpkins. Once back to the farm, there are wheelbarrows that you can load your pumpkins into and take to the weigh station. While my fiancé paid for the pumpkins, we went to the gift shop. They had a bunch of different homemade goodies to chose from including fudge, sugared pecans that smelled heavenly, cookies, cupcakes, pretzels, and much more.
Our family had a great time at the farm. It doesn’t matter if you are wanting fall decorations for your front porch, to get out and enjoy the fall weather, or take the kids to run off some energy outside, Beggs Family Farm is the perfect place to go. So go get a piece of paper, write your family’s fall bucket list, and head to Beggs Family Farm to cross some items off!!
