The Glenn House is a historic icon in Cape Girardeau, yearly tours are always present, but the holiday season is when the famous home literally starts to ‘shine.’
Volunteers have started gathering to get the 131-year-old home decorated for Christmas. Today was their first work day, unpacking the ornaments, garland, and lights, all to give the house an authentic holiday feel that reflects on Victorian Era home-life.
This is a lot of excitement for the community, with special candlelight tours on December 12 and 20. As well as regular tours on varying dates starting November 28. Tours are only $5 a ticket and include cookies and cider. Enjoy the historic and beautiful atmosphere of the Glenn House, and maybe get some decoration ideas while you’re there.
