July 1 - 2 The Mustard Seed Boutique in Marble Hill will have a 4th of July Freedom Sale Friday and Saturday. We will also be having Flea Market Saturday at the back of the shop. Lots of antiques and collectibles and all are welcome to set up on the back lot for the day. Call the shop for more information and info on the flea market 238-3777.

July 1 - 11 Barks Plantation RV Park & Campground in Glen Allen will have an Independence Day special...your third night stay is only $4.00 at Barks Plantation RV Park. Enjoy a family environment. Swimming & Fishing included with your stay.

July 2 Patton Lions Club lawn mower races. Got a Lawn Mower to Race? If it passes track inspection, you can race it or come to watch. Gates open at 4 p.m. There is a gate admission of $5 per car to attend. There will be a fireworks display after the races. For more information contact 573-866-3576 or 636-288-7295.

July 2 Castor River Park Campground in Grassy will celebrate the nation's birth with fireworks over the river. The fireworks display is open to the public for a small gate fee. Fireworks will start between 8 p.m. - 9 p.m., after dark. Contact Castor River Park at (573) 495-2485 for more information.

July 2 Bollinger County Farmers' Market in Marble Hill will be open from 8 a.m. till noon. Our vendors regularly offer for sale locally grown or made products. On July 2 the market should have herbs, water plants, bunnies, chicks, Guineas, laying hens, eggs, and crafts. Local produce will be for sale if available.

July 2 Whippoorwill Lake Family Campground in Marble Hill will have karaoke with the lake's very own Mr. James B. Karaoke will top of a day of fun on Saturday, July 2 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. the stage will jam with some of the best local talent followed by our very own fireworks display. Independence Day is an American traditional holiday. Why not spend it in an American traditional way with Camping, Swimming, Fishing, BBQ's, and the best of nature? June 30 - July 3 Bollinger County Museum of Natural History, located at 207 Mayfield Drive in Marble Hill, will be open. Visit the museum June 30 thru July 3 and celebrate the birth of our nation with a look back at our nation's history. Explore what types of items and equipment Lewis and Clark took with them on their Corp De Discovery, envision Missouri over a thousand years ago while enjoying Native American pottery, and remember when brother fought brother through our civil war ballistics and artifacts. July 2 St. Louis Iron Mountain Railway in Jackson, MO. Ride the Liberty Express. Special musical entertainment and activities. We will have a musical tribute to the states and challenge our passengers with USA Trivia.
