Pysanky Workshop April 11 at Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum


Pysanky Workshop

Cape Girardeau, MO – Friday, April 11, Barb Duncan will be leading an annual Psyanky Workshop in time for Easter on April 20th. Workshop participants will learn the traditional Ukranian wax-resist method of decorating Easter eggs and will each leave with their own egg decorated in the Psyanky tradition. Duncan learned the technique while visiting the city Vinitiza, Ukraine in 1993 and has developed her skill ever since.

The workshop will take place at the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at the River Campus on Friday, April 11 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Registration: $15 to the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, Participants must bring 2-3 hollowed eggs to dye.
