Cinema Exhibit at Cape River Heritage Museum

Cape Girardeau is no stranger to the cameras of Hollywood. Movies Gone Girl and Kill Shot were both filmed in the city in the last decade. With the popularity of Gone Girl, The Cape River Heritage Museum has opened an exhibit looking at Cape’s past films and theaters, going back as far as 1921 when the Broadway Theater first premiered the black and white silent film The Sheik. The exhibit looks at the past and present, displaying photos, information, and artifacts from theaters past (four of which still stand, out of six). The display also includes memorabilia and information about Gone Girl.

The exhibit ends December 15, and is located at 538 Independence St., Cape Girardeau, MO.
