While this is the Dogwood-Azalea Festival’s second year in a row to be listed in Fodor’s top 10 spring flower festivals in the nation, it seems Charleston doesn’t just grow beautiful flowers, but talented residents as well. Located inside scenic Rolwing Park the Arts and Crafts Bazaar is a staple in the festival, offering outdoor shopping located in the middle of the festivities. Over 110 booths are set up this year, all full of art and handcrafted items made by local artisans.

Karen Teeters, Executive Director of Charleston Chamber of Commerce & Tourism adds that there’s plenty of food as well, “We have wonderful food vendors, they sell the usual festival foods, and some unique treats as well.”

On Saturday you can follow the parade to the park and enjoy the sights and sounds of the festival while shopping the bazaar. Other events taking place in Rolwing Park include the Kiwanis Club Dog Show, the pie eating contest, a pedal tractor pull, and live music. Between all these amazing events treat yourself to a snack, and find the perfect treasure to commemorate what is sure to be a magical weekend.

The Dogwood-Azalea Festival takes place April 14-17. The Arts and Crafts Bazaar will be open Friday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Dr. E. Charles Rolwing Park is located on East Commercial Street between Smith and Stark Streets.
