Cape Enforcers Football Game

The Cape Enforcers football team will be back in action April 20th as they take on the Springfield Guns at Houck Stadium. The Cape Enforcers is made up of law enforcement and members of the military who join up to play 3 or 4 games for a cause every year. Their 8th annual game this year will benefit Junior Achievement as well as the local Whittemore family who lost their beloved husband and father in January.

The Enforcers, compiled of a group of men with a love for football in common, play each of their games for a cause. In the past, they have helped people affected by cancer and lost loved ones, among other causes. The team is a way for the guys that used to play or simply enjoy the sport to continue to get out on the field and take on similar teams to benefit those in need.

Also part of the benefit are the SEMO Shuffle 5K, Muddy Waters CrossFit Challenge, and raffles. There will be inflatables and play equipment for the kiddos as well, and country music recording artist Brooke Burrows will perform the national anthem. All events will take place at Houck Stadium on Southeast Missouri State University's Campus. Details including tickets, 5K registration, volunteering, schedule, and more can be found on their Facebook event page.
